Mark Garnier, a Conservative MP in the UK, is to be investigated by the Cabinet Office over whether he broke any Ministerial rules for calling his secretary “sugar tits”, and asking for her to buy sex toys for him. Mark Garnier has admitted to this allegation being true.
The Cabinet Office is now responsible for looking at whether this offense is a breach of the Ministerial Code of Conduct or not. Mr. Garnier rejected to comment any further rgarding the incident, other than to acknowledge that the accusations were true.
Mr. Garnier’s former secretary claims that he had given her money to buy two vibrators from a Soho sex shop.
Caroline Edmondson, Garnier’s secretary, has since left her position to work with another MP, and claims that on another occasion, in a bar in front of witnesses, he told her “you are going nowhere, sugar tits.”
Mr. Garnier has admitted to Ms. Edmondsons claims, saying: “I’m not going to deny it because I’m not going to be dishonest. I’m going to have to take it on the chin.” adding that in the current political climate his actions do constitute “dinosaur behaviour”, but that “it absolutely does not constitute harassment.”
