Save The Children The Latest Charity To Be Hit By Sex Abuse Scandals

The Save The Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children (STC), is a UK-based Non-Profit Organization headquartered out of London, and now at the centre of controversy surrounding at least 176 incidents of child abuse reportedly committed by a number of the charity’s employees over the last three years.
Last year, there were 35 cases of sexual harassment reported as the Save the Children International, and this trend has continued into 2018 with another reported 53 cases investigated so far into the year.
Kevin Watkins, the chief executive of the Save the Children UK Foundation, has claimed that 19 employees have been dismissed following the incidents. Save the Children International claims they have dismissed another 11 employees from there payroll following the allegations.
Women who were employed by the NPO have come forward with claims of unwanted sexual advances from Justin Forsyth, former chief executive at STC, as well as Brendan Cox, former policy director and Jo Cox’s widow, a British MP who was murdered in 2016.
