Michael Wolff, the author of the controversial book “Fire and Fury”, has included an author’s note at the beginning of his new book in which he claims that there is a chance that parts of his book are untrue. Wolff comments that he is certain that some of his sources were probably lying to him.
Earlier this week, The Guardian published excerpts from this book where he quoted Former Trump Chief strategist Steve Bannon as saying that he thinks Donal Trump Jr’s meeting with the Russian’s at Trump Tower was “treasonous” and “unpatriotic“. This has led to Donald Trump, himself, lashing out against Bannon, calling him “Sloppy Steve“.
There were many other people quoted in the book as well, including Rupert Murdoch, the owner of News Corp, who called the president an “idiot“.
This author’s note cast doubt on the authenticity of the book just a few hours before its release, and now that the book has been made available to the public, this controversy is likely to continue.
